Use Your Voice and Raise Awareness!
A poetry slam is an event in which poets compete with gorgeous spoken word performances before a live audience and a panel of judges. How do you choose what poems to read? Make sure the poems you pick feel good to say aloud. Also, choose a poem that you think really matters. If you had one message to share with the world, what would you want to say? Find a poem that says that (or write one yourself!)
Please do not submit poetry about inappropriate or controversial topics.
Ages 8+. Program held on second floor of the library.
